Behind the project
OFSTONE. Architecture on the Same Wavelength
When technical precision meets humanity, respect for history and a healthy sense of perspective.

Designing a house built in 1905 is not merely a set of drawings. It is a search for balance between the memory of a place, contemporary comfort and decisions that must stand the test of decades. For the Vinorum 1905 Residence, we found in the OFSTONE design studio a partner able to combine technical assurance with humanity – and to truly listen.
Our sincere thanks go to Ing. arch. Jan Smejkal and Pavel Kříž. From our very first meeting, we felt we were on the same wavelength. The discussions were precise, open and free of professional ego. Every detail could be examined in depth without the project losing its lightness, its atmosphere or its respect for the original house.
Our thanks also go to the studio’s founder, Ing. arch. Karel Tracht. His wise, mentoring perspective and Buddhist calm brought to the project something that does not fit into drawings, yet is ultimately visible in them: the ability to return to the essence, to perceive the whole and, at the right moment, to ease the tension with humour.
The Vinorum 1905 Residence confirms for us that good architecture does not arise from experience and precision alone. It arises between people who trust one another, who are able to hear each other and who protect a shared idea down to the very last detail. For this collaboration and its human dimension, we are sincerely grateful to the OFSTONE team.
