Curated selection
Art that gives a home confidence
Six artists whose works enter an interior not as decoration, but as personality.

A curatorial selection by Karina Svoboda, co-owner of Vertex Group, a long-standing art collector and curator of the ART Offices programme at Prime House Karlín, Prague 8.
“I promise you this: if you look at everything beautiful with genuine attention, beauty will quietly begin to inscribe itself into you. And one day you will discover that you no longer merely admire it — you have become part of it.”

An interior can be furnished correctly — and still something may be missing. The sofa fits, the light is precise, the materials converse politely with one another. Yet a home without art tends to be a little too well-mannered: it says nothing that takes even a small risk. A good work brings character. For Vinorum 1905, Karina Svoboda has therefore selected six artists — six ways in which art can enter a home: as architecture, narrative, memory, optical marvel, transformation of light and everyday ritual.

Two kinds of tension
One paints the moment just before it passes. The other shows that sometimes a single glance is not enough.

When light takes shape
Two artists who remind us that glass is not transparent silence. It can capture light, memory and everyday ritual.
