Materasso Hotels: complete sleep systems

For the Vinorum 1905 show apartment, rather than a catalogue bed, a complete bed was created, adapted both to the historic interior and to everyday use.

A concealed base lightens the upholstered volume and leaves full-size storage space beneath the bed. The dimensions, the proportions of the headboard, the construction, the opening mechanism and an unhackneyed fabric linking wood, brass and contemporary art were all resolved to measure. The result is a bed that does not look like a piece of furniture added as an afterthought, but like part of the apartment’s architecture.

Materasso Hotels is part of the family-owned Slovak company Materasso Slovakia, which has been developing complete sleep systems for more than thirty years. Mattresses, slatted bases, beds, toppers and accessories are all made under one roof. The brand can therefore coordinate firmness, bed height, construction, storage space and upholstery without dividing responsibility among several suppliers.

Hotel know-how brings an emphasis on durability, hygiene, resilience and consistent comfort under intensive use. The same system can be configured for a hotel, a serviced apartment, an investment apartment or a private bedroom: from a rational operational solution to a premium made-to-measure bed. It is precisely the breadth of the range, in-house development and the ability to supply the entire bed, from mattress to final fabric, that set Materasso apart from brands focused on only one part of the bedroom.

“Mattress, slatted base and bed from one manufacturer. One functional system, one responsibility.”
