OMNIRES: Polish design that proved itself in Milan and in practice

When selecting the bathroom specification for the Vinorum 1905 Residence, we also considered brands regarded on the Czech market as almost an automatic choice – Grohe or Hansgrohe. Yet with taps and mixers in particular, the difference between the catalogue and everyday use is surprisingly large. I observe it at home, too: how a finish ages, how easily fingerprints remain on it, how a detail looks after several years and whether the design still gives pleasure.

In the end, I was won over by OMNIRES. A Polish brand that for more than three decades has combined its own product design with technological development, working among other things with durable PVD finishes, ceramic cartridges and water-saving technologies. Its design has earned it the Red Dot, the iF Design Award and the German Design Award.

For me, the final word was Milan. Seeing OMNIRES in a setting where the world’s finest brands stand side by side was perhaps more persuasive than any catalogue. In 2026, during Milan Design Week, the brand presented itself in the iconic Torre Velasca with the BEYOND collection by Maja Ganszyniec, winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2025, as part of the exhibition Polish Modernism. A Struggle for Beauty. Here, Polish design was not trying to catch up with anyone; it came across as entirely self-assured and natural.

“When I compared the design, the craftsmanship and the way the individual finishes behave in real use, OMNIRES held its own for me in both quality and appearance. Milan was the final confirmation that we had chosen well. And the collaboration with the Polish side? In my experience, nothing but superlatives.”

For me, a welcome proof that for first-class bathroom design, one no longer needs to look only to the West.
